Mission

The mission of US-China Association for Promotion of Goodwill Exchange (UCAPE ) is to promote exchanges between the USA and China in business, legal system, municipal affairs, education, culture, technology, human resources, and other areas through its US-China Business Building Conference, US-China Justice Cooperation Forum, US-China City Cooperation Forum, as well as market research, professional training, business delegation visits, and other international exchange programs and activities.

  • 08/26/2008 - Professor Falian Zhang was interviewed by Fang Yuan Law Enforcer, a monthly magazine published by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China where Professor Zhang expressed his opinion on the demand for qualified lawyers and the root cause of problems in enforcement as presented in current social structure.       NEW!


  • 08/06/2008 - At the invitation of the Canadian Business Association, UCAPE president, Mr Falian Zhang attended business banquet in Columbia, Canada, where he presented the current investment market in China.       NEW!


  • 07/25-07/27/2008 – At the invitation of Jiuheng Group in Zibo of Shandong Province, UCAPE President Falian Zhang accompanied Shandong Zibo Dahuanjiu Polygrace Tannery Co., Ltd, Mr. Zhou to Denver, Colorado for business cooperation meeting with an American company.      NEW!


  • 06/16-06/19/2008 – President Falian Zhang escorted Ambassador of the Republic of Vanuatu, Mr. Zhiwei Luo to Weihai and Liaocheng in Shandong Province for business development inquires.      NEW!


  • 05/31/2008 – Professor Falian Zhang was interviewed by Beijing Youth newspaper, where Professor Zhang answered questions in regards to the nationally unified Legal English Certificate (LEC) testing program.      NEW!


  • 04/21/2008 –At the China Hotel, UCAPE Beijing office warmly welcomed Minnesota State Supreme Court delegation.      NEW!


  • At the invitations of Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Communist Youth League and Beijing Municipal Lawyers’ Association, Professor Falian Zhang, President of UCAPE, delivered a speech on How to enter international legal field for young lawyers in the Academic Auditorium, China University of Political Science and Law on January 27, 2008. The speech created excitement among young attorneys and law students as well.

  • The Hon. Tongzeng Bao, Counselor of Education Section of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago, met with the leaders of UCAPE on December16, 2007. Mr. Bao praised the work UCAPE performed in 2007, and encouraged the members of UCAPE to make greater progress and contribution to the education and business exchanges between China and the U.S.  


  • Upon a number of invitations, Mr. Daqing Shi, President Emeritus of UCAPE, participated in academic seminars in Shanghai and Guangdong from November 5 to 9, 2007.    


  • The Hon. Mr. Zhiwei, Luo, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Vanuatu in the People’s Republic of China, and his staff, visited Beijing office of UCAPE on October 6, 2007.   


  • Upon many requests, UCAPE is pleased to announce that it is to organize its first official U.S. business delegation visit to China in November 10, 2006. It includes seminar on investment and doing business in China by speakers from Ministry of Commerce, top universities in China , foreign enterprise executives. There will also be visit to Special Economic and Development Zone.    


  • Cheng Siwei, Vice-Chairman of the National People’s Congress continues his visit in Indiana after his visit to Minnesota. Mr. Cheng visits Purdue University on June 19.  


  • A Chinese youth delegation headed by Niu Lingjiang, Director General of China Association for Science & Technology, Wang Yuanlin, Division Chief of Ministry of Education, arrived in Indianapolis to participate in the International Youth Competition on Science and Technology on May 7.
