About Us

On the global level, the US-China relation plays an intricate and complex role in numerous areas, including politics, economics, society, history, culture, religion, and psychology. Hence, it is essential to facilitate the growth of this bilateral relationship from all frontiers and perspectives in order to promote social and culture exchanges, enhance mutual understanding, build trust, reduce friction and prevent conflict between the two countries.

US-China Association for Promotion of Goodwill Exchange (UCAPE), a nonprofit organization was established in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its core members consist of individuals of doctorate degrees and immense knowledge and expertise in law, engineering, business, media broadcasting, medicine and sociology. Across the board are talents who have studied, researched and taught at preeminent universities as well as worked in leading positions in multinational corporations over a wide range of technical fields.

In June of 2004, Mr. Falian Zhang was elected as the third president of UCAPE. UCAPE has been working with over ten American state governments, Canadian government, Chinese embassies in US and Canada, China’s Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education and other US/China government agencies. In addition, UCAPE also has strong working relations with various American and Canadian universities including University of Chicago, University of Michigan, Columbia University, University of Minnesota, University of Indiana and University of British Columbia.

The mission of US-China Association for Promotion of Goodwill Exchange (UCAPE ) is to promote exchanges between the USA and China in business, legal system, municipal affairs, education, culture, technology, human resources, and other areas through its US-China Business Building Conference, US-China Justice Cooperation Forum, US-China City Cooperation Forum, as well as market research, professional training, business delegation visits, and other international exchange programs and activities. Over the past few years, under the direction of Chinese Embassies located in both U.S. and Canada, UCAPE has successfully and notably became the liaison for various agencies between U.S. and China, thus gaining public praise and encouragement.
